How We Use Personal Data

Customer Personal Data

In order to provide the Service, UJET collects and processes Customer Personal Data to enable configuration and operation of the Service. Customers enter this Customer Personal Data into the Service to configure queues, establish teams, set schedules, pay invoices, communicate with UJET support and to generally administrate the Service and perform other related operations. Customer Personal Data is also used to deliver the Service. Customers access this Personal Data using the UJET Admin Portal and have control over the data collected and its ongoing accuracy, deletion and retention. Customer employees and vendors with access to the UJET Service should refer to the Customer’s privacy policies and ensure all data subject rights requests are sent directly to Customer. UJET will provide its Customers with support in managing this data upon request.

Processing and Storage of End User Personal Data

UJET collects and processes End User Personal Data solely on behalf of and in accordance with its Customers’ instructions and does not process such data for its own purposes. End User Personal Data is collected when End Users interact with Customers via the Service and/or one or more of our Customers’ Integrated Applications. Our processing of End User Personal Data is subject to the Agreement between UJET and our Customer. Therefore, this Notice does not apply to End Users and we are not responsible for our Customers’ processing, storage and sharing of End User Personal Data. Our Customers have their own policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your End User Personal Data. To learn about how a particular Customer handles your End User Personal Data, we encourage you to read that Customer’s privacy policy.

The Service enables Customers to configure their contact centers to communicate and engage with their End Users from their current location using traditional and modern communications channels and mobile device applications. Whether End Users are communicating via voice, chat, SMS, Apps or e-mail with Customer’s employees,  agents or virtual agents, the communications and End User Personal Data are processed by UJET and then pushed to the Customer-managed Customer Relationship Management service, database, storage or other services (Customer Storage) to be stored, maintained and retained by Customer. Once the communications and End User Personal Data are successfully received by the Customer Storage, they are deleted from UJET’s systems and can only be accessed within Customer Storage.

To enable identification of the Customer’s existing End User contact record in Customer Storage, to create new contact records, and to push data to the appropriate contract record when agents communicate with End Users, by default the UJET Service only stores the CRM contact ID, an external identifier defined by Customer to identify the consumer from the UJET SDK, and, where applicable, device identifiers (uuid, push token). Customers may enable features that allow UJET to retain End User phone numbers, e-mail addresses and/or email subject lines to suit the Customer’s individual reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.  After disconnecting Customer Storage from the UJET Service at the end of the Customer's Agreement, UJET no longer maintains a link to the CRM contact ID or external identifier. During the Agreement’s term, by default End User Personal Data and any related pending or failed commands used in the service while processing the communication is either redacted or deleted once the Customer Storage receives the data. However, if enabled by Customer, End User phone numbers, email addresses and/or email subject lines may be stored by UJET in UJET systems pursuant to the disclosed and/or Customer selected retention period. UJET has no direct access to the Customer Storage, all access is programmatic and enabled using API and other keys/secrets. UJET also supports privacy-enabling features such as call and message redaction.
